Have you ever wanted to give up on praying? Your back is against the wall, and nothing feels as if it is changing. Writing off God and everything to do with him. Feeling as if there is nowhere left to turn. But then, the sun rises, birds are chirping, and a ping appears on your phone, that friend that borrowed money six months ago just paid you back and you have enough money for rent! Praise the Lord! Or you badly need new tires, and you don’t even know how you are going to pay your car payment let alone new tires. Then, you get your check and there’s a bonus you weren’t expecting. You know, God works in mysterious ways.

Colossians 4:2

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.

1 Thessalonians 5:17

Pray without ceasing,

Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Mark 11:24

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

Verse after verse tells us to ask and it shall be yours, to pray without ceasing, and to come to Him at all times in prayer and thanksgiving. The Bible reminds us of the importance of maintaining a close relationship with Christ. This relationship will allow us to hear Him in the still silent and the loud noise. This relationship will foster a faith that will not be shaken because you know your God can and has moved mountains and parted the sea. Sometimes God waits until the nineth hour and sometimes He comes in the dark of the night. Sometimes we can see Him working and sometimes we can’t. Faith is complete trust, knowing our God is a good God.
